Steel & Tube, New Zealand’s top steel solutions provider with over 70 years of history, is seeking a skilled People & Culture Business Partner to join our Auckland-based team. In this role, you’ll work closely with managers across our national network to deliver the P&C strategy, offering practical advice and driving initiatives that enhance leadership, remuneration, and organisational capability. From coaching supervisors in a blue-collar environment to managing incentive programs with a numbers-driven approach, you’ll play a key part in supporting our business goals. Some travel may be required to connect with our multi-site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with managers to address people challenges and boost performance
- Lead remuneration and sales incentive programs, collaborating with finance on targets with a commercial understanding
- Coach leaders on performance management and employment practices
- Support organisational change and talent development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with NZ employment law and HSE standards
About You:
We’re looking for a proactive P&C professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for people. You’ll bring:
- 7-10+ years as a P&C Business Partner, ideally in a multi-site business
- Proven skills in remuneration, including incentive program management
- Strong Excel skills and experience with employment agreements
- Great communication and leadership coaching abilities
- Union experience and a blue-collar background are a plus
