About the Role
As the Account Manager for Chain & Rigging in Auckland, you’ll spearhead sales growth for our chain and rigging products and services, including mobile testing. You’ll work closely with customers and our regional team to deliver exceptional service, strengthen relationships, and expand Steel & Tube’s market share. This role combines strategic sales, customer engagement, and hands-on operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of chain and rigging products and services, meeting and exceeding targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to enhance loyalty and growth
- Promote Steel & Tube’s broader product range to maximise customer value
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of competitors
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services to meet customer expectations
- Support operational excellence by guiding stock management and testing compliance
- Champion health, safety, and environmental standards in all activities
- Provide accurate and timely reports to senior management
What We’re Looking For
- Proven sales experience, ideally in engineering, mechanical, or related industries
- Strong relationship management skills with a track record of customer retention and growth
- Strategic thinker with experience in budgeting, planning, and forecasting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Current NZ Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Desirable: First Aid Certificate, safety training, or industry-specific courses
