You’ll manage hazardous substances, environmental consents, and compliance databases, ensuring adherence to NZ’s HSWA Act, EPA requirements, and the Resource Management Act. Engaging with WorkSafe NZ, the EPA, and local councils, you’ll handle inspections, notifications, and reporting. Your expertise in ISO 9001 (mandatory), and ideally ISO 45001 and 14001, will drive system improvements. Using digital platforms like Intelex, you’ll manage incidents, audits, and QHSE data, fostering a risk-based culture with tools like Bowtie analysis.

This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor or a driven professional ready to step into a leadership position. You’ll work closely with site leaders and frontline teams to embed robust QHSE systems, influence a safety-first culture, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced, industrial setting. A Lead Auditor qualification or ICAM training is highly desirable to enhance your impact.
