Steel & Tube, a cornerstone of New Zealand’s steel industry with over 70 years of expertise, is seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Supply Chain & Network Performance Analyst to join our Auckland team. Reporting to the General Manager – Logistics & Distribution Centres, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our national network strategy, optimising materials flow, and driving commercial performance through robust financial models and data-driven insights.

 

In this senior role, you’ll lead critical network development projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs. You’ll assess and enhance our fulfilment strategy, focusing on last-mile optimisation and capacity management, while developing a digitisation roadmap to integrate cutting-edge platforms. By creating and monitoring performance metrics, you’ll identify opportunities to boost service, EBIT, and operational efficiency. Your ability to handle large datasets, conduct feasibility studies, and influence stakeholders will be key to delivering impactful outcomes across our supply chain.

 

This role is ideal for a seasoned supply chain professional with a passion for strategic planning and innovation. You’ll collaborate with Business Unit GMs, CFOs, and Digital teams to align network strategies with sales, operations, and digital roadmaps. Your work will directly influence Steel & Tube’s ability to scale efficiently and maintain its position as a market leader in steel solutions for infrastructure, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead network development projects, delivering business cases and schedules
  • Optimise fulfilment strategies to enhance service and commercial outcomes
  • Develop and maintain a digitisation roadmap for network platforms
  • Create and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide actionable recommendations

 

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in logistics, supply planning, or business management
  • 5+ years’ experience in supply chain operations or network development
  • A robust knowledge of the New Zealand supply chain landscape is essential
  • Proven ability to handle large datasets and build robust financial models
  • Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills
  • Experience with digital technologies for network modelling and optimisation
  • Desirable: Industry certifications (e.g., CPIM, CPSM, SCOR-P) or steel industry experience
