Step into a hands-on Trade Sales / Storeperson role delivering great service and smooth warehouse support in a busy Auckland trade environment.

Steel & Tube is a proud New Zealand company with over 70 years of history, supplying everything from roofing, purlins and fastenings to structural steel and specialist products across infrastructure, construction, engineering and rural sectors.

What You'll Do:
As a Trade Sales / Storeperson you’ll be the face of our Albany trade shop, combining counter sales with practical store support. Your day-to-day will include:

• Delivering outstanding service and practical product advice to trade customers
• Processing orders, handling phone and email queries, and supporting the wider sales team
• Picking, packing and dispatching orders accurately and efficiently
• Managing inwards goods, stock counts and keeping the store organised
• Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
• Maximising sales by promoting Steel & Tube’s full product range
• Working safely and supporting continuous improvement across the site

This is a genuine dual role that blends customer-facing sales with hands-on warehouse work. You’ll deal with a wide mix of trade customers every day, solve problems on the spot, keep stock moving, and help the team hit sales and service targets. Whether you’re processing a counter order, loading a truck, or helping a customer find the right product, you’ll play a key part in keeping the Albany branch running smoothly and growing.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in customer service, sales or store/warehouse work (trade or merchant background is a plus)
• Ability to balance sales conversations with practical picking, packing and dispatch tasks
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, reliable team player who enjoys a varied pace
• Current driver’s licence; forklift licence (or willingness to get one) is desirable
• Familiarity with steel, fastenings or building products is helpful but not essential
