About the Role:

As the Distribution / Operations Manager, you’ll take charge of all branch operations, from sales and customer service to warehouse and trade shop management. With a strong focus on achieving sales and operational excellence, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the success of Steel & Tube’s distribution network in Northland. Starting in 2025, this is the perfect opportunity to begin the new year with an exciting leadership challenge. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the growth and success of the Whangarei branch by achieving sales and financial targets
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team across sales, warehouse operations, and customer service
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain operational excellence
• Build and nurture relationships with key customers, delivering exceptional service 

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven leadership experience in operations, distribution, logistics, or branch management
• A strong track record of achieving sales targets and managing budgets effectively
• Excellent people management skills and the ability to inspire high-performing teams
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations with a focus on operational compliance
• Industry experience in steel, construction, or related sectors is an advantage
